# Fencing and installation companies

> Enter site measurements and get a priced quote from your own price list. Accepted quotes become scheduled jobs with a checklist for installers.

- For: Fencing and installation companies
- Solution: Quote builder and job schedule
- Time: about 6 weeks

## Solution in short

- Type in the site measurements. The quote prices itself from your price list.
- An accepted quote becomes a job on a shared schedule.
- Installers get a checklist on their phone for every job.

## Is this also your problem?

“Every quote is me with a calculator and a price list after a site visit. Then we agree dates by phone, and an installer turns up without the right materials.”

## How it works

- On site, the surveyor enters the measurements and picks the products, like panel and gate types.
- The quote builder works out materials and price from your own price list, and makes the quote document.
- When the customer accepts, the job goes on the schedule with a date and a crew.
- The crew opens the job on their phone: address, materials list, and photos to sign it off.

*Screen: The quote builder on a phone at a site visit: the fence length and total, each line of the quote with its price, and the customer accepting it.*

## What changes

- Every quote follows the same rules, because the rules live in the tool, not in one person’s head.
- Each job has a date, a crew and a materials list.
- Installers work from a checklist, not a message thread.

## What it runs on

Airtable holds the price list, quotes and jobs. Google Calendar carries the schedule. Glide gives the crew a simple phone app. We use Claude to turn your pricing rules into plain formulas you can read and check.

Tools: Airtable, Glide, Google Calendar, Claude.

## Time and price

About six weeks. The quote rules and the crew app are custom work, so we quote them after a first call, and they come with a maintenance plan.
