## The problem

## The solution

A job tracker the owner keeps open on a screen. Each repair gets one record: customer, device, fault, parts, price and a status such as Received, Waiting for part or Ready. When the status changes, the customer gets a WhatsApp message in the shop's own words. When the job is done, the tracker produces a simple invoice the owner can send or print.

## Tools and AI used

Airtable holds the jobs. Make connects it to the WhatsApp Business Platform for the messages. Claude helps us write the message wording in the shop's own voice, and reads photographed job cards into draft records for the first batch, which the owner checks before they are saved.

## What now works

Every job has one record and one status. Customers hear about changes without calling, and the owner can see at a glance which jobs wait on a part and which are ready for collection. Nothing depends on a paper card staying in the right drawer.
